Beyond10k was created around a simple idea: high-performing people often have capabilities that extend far beyond the environment in which they first developed them.
10,000 hours wasnever the destination.
Beyond10k is inspired by the work of psychologist Anders Ericsson, whose research explored how deliberate practice contributes to the development of expertise.
The idea of 10,000 hours became a cultural shorthand for the extraordinary commitment required to become exceptional.
For Beyond10k, the number is symbolic. It represents the years spent:
